I too used to enjoy the old atmosphere of the original DoylesRoom. Now it not as sociable although I have run into a couple that liked to chat. In the old room I had a few good friends that I could follow and/or rail as well as some profitable opponents that I like to follow as well. Maybe in time it will regain some of its old flavor. Are you still playing there?

I loved to play at Doyles room the original doyles room many years ago. In fact when I happened to see it in the New York Times I was there in a heart beat.
Back then they had a great lobby. And before the bounty Todd, Doyle and Barry would come in and all could chat with them. The Bounty cost a lot to play $50 but
it was worth it because many times I was at a table with one of them. I even played
a single table tourney with Todd several time that only cost $1.10 to play.
That's all gone now. They don't say hi to me if I'm playing as if they had never
heard of me and I played there for years. Oh well it is over now.

In general it is much safer to play on famous poker rooms and avoiding small ones.

I was a member of Doyles Room and when the conversion to cake poker was over, I ended up losing my balance of $15.62. I have online chatted with security and emailed but to no avail initially. The silent part of listen happened but not the way I thought.

It did take a while, but the security at Doyles Room assured me that my account still had the balance of $15.62. After many failed attempts, I uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Logged in as directed, requested a new password, and low and behold. My account was just as I and left it. Thank you Doyles Room, security and Doyle as well.

While playing poker at casinos and with friends is great fun and many people enjoy it, more and more people are beginning to get involved with virtual poker online.
